
Senior Manager, Paid Media

The Senior Manager-Paid Media plays an important role in leading the firm’s Campaign channel, supporting Client Leads, developing and managing campaign staff, and fostering positive relationships with clients.
The paid media and digital campaign function at Mueller Communications serves a diverse set of organizations including local, national, B2B, B2C, non-profit, for-profit, professional services, and eCommerce. Because Mueller Communications is a full-service communications firm, many campaigns cut through all four forms of media (Paid, Earned, Owned and Shared). As a result, we value a team member’s ability to understand and communicate across these channels, helping the overall team cascade key messages through the entire communications spectrum.
What you’ll be doing:
PAID MEDIA CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT
- Lead the build and optimization of best-in-class SEM, paid social media, and programmatic campaigns
- Architect and wire for increasingly complex channel attribution needed to show ROI inclusive of drawing from outside systems like CRMs or ERPs
- Provide actionable insights using analytic tracking in reporting platforms such as: Google Analytics/Tag Manager/Search Console, SEMRush, CallRail, Looker Studio, Agency Analytics, CRMs (Hubspot, Salesforce, etc), Google Ads, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc and client-level success KPI
- Own the building of performance reports and dashboards in alignment with client goals
- Lead client-facing performance summary presentations that articulate key takeaways and insights that showcase campaign impact in alignment with client goals.
- Lead the communication of the activity above, and the resulting needs, takeaways, and deliverables to team members, clients, platform vendors, and publisher support reps with proper context and in an actionable manner
PROJECT MANAGEMENT & OPERATIONS (Internal)
- Lead channel-level campaign activities in collaboration with the Client Lead (goal setting and reporting, projections, monthly planning, and regular internal client reviews)
- Demonstrate ownership over setting, managing and achieving big picture goals for the client
- Develop project management plans that integrate all internal/external approvals and deadlines
- Own and optimize the firm’s campaign planning and delivery process
CLIENT MANAGEMENT (External)
- Be a strategic and analytical voice of the firm on our most complex campaigns
- Collaborate with Client Lead, or in some cases, act as client lead, to ensure the Mueller team is a trusted partner, proactively providing clients with timely, useful, trusted information
STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT | ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET
- Contribute to new business acquisition by crafting and presenting paid ad channel strategies and leading the development of marketing proposals and pitches
- Lead development of client campaign strategy inclusive of the audits that inform them
- Demonstrated desire to grow both our clients’ businesses and Mueller Communications, including contributing proactive ideas for expansion
- Demonstrate ability to translate brainstorms and big ideas into additional client programs or tactics
- Identify industry trends and insights to be leveraged in both work delivery and business development
Qualifications that will make you stand out:
- 5+ yrs experience in Paid Social, SEM, and Programmatic (Display, Pre-Roll, CTV). SEO and email campaign experience valued but not required.
- Prior agency experience preferred, but not required
- Proven ability to identify and solve complex problems through insightful analysis
- Proven ability to translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations that drive tangible results
- Intrinsic sense of ownership of your domain and pride in your impact on the success of clients and the firm
- Strategic marketing mind and in-depth knowledge of different digital marketing channels with a track record of activating effective multi-channel campaigns
- Experience in client-facing communications roles with strong track record of building long-tenured relationships that deliver on shared goals
- In-office presence 3+ days per week
